Passive

Looks like I am going to remain a passive Singaporean the way the rulers here likes it. So I am not going to join the ranks of Lim Hock Siew, Lin Chin Siong and J. B. Jeyaretnam. Lest I end up like the former two in detention without trial.

Anyway, what the heck does it mean to have detention without trial? Does it mean that the detained actually have no wrongs to be convicted, hence the absence of a trial? Or does it mean that the judiciary system has such a great flaw that will be revealed through the trials of this kind of detainees?

I once thought that criminals are of a worse form than a detainee. But I just learnt that detainees sometimes stayed in cells for a longer time than a life-sentenced criminal.

I am suddenly remembered what kimnoi said when he pretended to commit suicide from the less-than-2-metres tall rag staircase. "Goodbye world!" it warrants. We live in a screwed society. So many things to show that the prophecy is coming true, the 1000-years reign might very well come real soon.

And MINDEF just disrupted my life again today with their very good plan of National Service, while good (and bad) jobs here are increasingly taken up by foreigners through another very well planned policy. Very smart.

Anyway I thought I was bad enough in my paper. Shown a whole lot of cynical views about the "democracy" we have here in Singapore. So I guess I will let it rest here.

Moreover this blog space supposed fall under the monopoly of the media control here. Well, "media control" seems to me like an oxymoron alright.

Please ignore the political purpose, but do not disregard the facts they present. I can't seem to find a good reason why our heads get more than six times the pay of our dear Mr George W. Bush. I don't deny the effectiveness of serving the purpose, but isn't that outright and open corruption in a sense? So they say.
