A Fuhua student STOMPed! Sitting on the floor some more.

There, you see a difference in thinking that comes along with age. Like any student of the increasing defiant younger generations, she complaint of unfairness, like how one would question the authority of a school prefect. "The 4A class person also never tuck in shirt what, why never catch him??" It will be completely different for a young adult. Being hot-minded and impulsive, we will go all the way to question the law. "Why can't we drink water? Dirty the place? Then what about water from an dripping umbrella on a rainy day? Isn't rainwater dirtier than drinking water? And I don't see how I can dirty the place with the sweet sitting in my mouth!" The first and second apathetic generations will only say: "The government make law, we obey lo."

That is why Lee loves the first and second generations. They are so tamed. But he knows that the third generation is starting to have voting power by becoming of age. It threatens the reign of the ruling party. It explains the influx of foreign "talents". The falling birthrate is only a facade. To me, what is really happening is the attempt to create another first generation of immigrants who will be oh-so-thankful for being given a pink IC, so as to maintain that favour among "first generations". The percentage of temporary and permanent residents in Singapore now makes up 35% of the entire population, and increasing, and foreign workers makes up 29% (in year 2000. Of course it is much higher now) of the entire workforce here.

The excuse of falling birthrate is already passe. The new excuse is that the local population is becoming too "lazy" and "complacent", and we need the foreign workers and "talents" to spur us on. I seriously wonder what kind of talents they actually are when they are rejects in their own country. And what a lame excuse that is.

By the way, having an IC is actually an infringement of human rights. Yes, for ease of administration, but looking at another angle we are actually being tagged like livestock. It makes me wonder, does LKY have a pink IC?

STOMP and RazorTV is the new age powerful tool. Another outlet to cryout. Or another governmental tool to silence us, with the power of media, with the threat to embarrass. Remember the attempt to silence of Temasek Review? I am thankful, it is still around. Remember the attempt to create fear in netizens by punishing that online racist? I am still thankful that Temasek Review is still around.

Singapore Press Holdings is state-controlled. So don't devote your brain fully on the Straits Times, or for this matter, STOMP.
